We had a thoroughly enjoyable and delicious anniversary dinner at the Ritz-Carlton's Fuego y Mar restaurant. We sat at the edge of the terrace with a warm breeze wafting by. It was different from forty-five years and one day ago when we had our rehearsal dinner at another Ritz Carlton - Boston - one week after the Blizzard of '78. Another difference. This evening Pam tipped over a glass that broke. No problem. At our rehearsal dinner, one of my future brothers-in-law pocketed an ashtray as a souvenir. Leaving the party, it clinked against the coat check counter. The lady behind it instantly produced tissue paper and offered to wrap it for him. When my parents got the bill for the event, "ashtray - 1" was on it.
