Gustavia, St. Barts

RIVIERA anchored off Gustavia.  Passengers went ashore in the ship's tenders.

These are not nearly as comfortable and airy as the launches that came out to the ship at previous ports, but they get the job done.

Again today, it will be Pam who writes about activities ashore.

A beautiful island with a rugged, much unspoiled coastline, and an upscale atmosphere, unique in the Caribbean for its Swedish and French heritage.

Every shop you can imagine!

Many, many huge yachts!

A view across Gustavia Harbor. Notice the fort.

Island charm.

Shell Beach. The water was lovely, as was the view.

Relaxing after a swim at Shell Beach.

Local hang out.

We weighed anchor as the sun set.  Next stop - Dominica.
